Kevin Burdette is the owner, fly tying instructor, and chief fly tyer of Forgotten Coast Fly Company located in historic downtown Apalachicola, Florida.
He began tying flies 5 years ago for some of the most demanding Tarpon guides on Florida’s Panhandle. This early experience influenced his fly tying style and pattern designs.
Kevin’s fly patterns, such as the Renegade, have been published in several magazines as well as online. He is also one of the founding members of the Fly Farm Coalition, a group of fly tying material producers and fly tyers whose goal is to promote small batch artisan fly tying material.
Kevin holds Pro-Staff positions for Dyna-King, Ahrex Hooks, and Gulff Fly Fishing. He also builds saltwater specific fly rods that meet and exceed the demands of the toughest angler. For more information about Kevin, go to his website at www.forgottencoastflycompany.com
